Getting Started

How do predictions work?
babylog looks at your baby's age and, as you log more, learns your baby's actual patterns. Early on, predictions are based on typical patterns for babies your baby's age. The more you log, the more personalized they become.

Why does it say "--h --m" instead of a number?
Predictions need a few logs to calibrate before they're accurate for your baby. Keep logging, and the countdown will appear once there's enough data.

Do I need to log every single feed and sleep for babylog to work?
The more consistently you log, the better your predictions get. But babylog still works with occasional gaps, it'll just take a bit longer to feel personalized.

Logging

How do I log something quickly?
Tap any icon in the dock at the bottom of the Home screen. It logs instantly using your most recent details. If you want to add or adjust details, press and hold the icon instead.

I logged something by mistake. How do I delete it?
Tap the entry in your log list to open it, then tap Delete.

Can I log something that happened in the past?
Yes. Log it as usual, then tap the entry to open it. From there you can open the time picker to set the exact time, or use the +/- buttons to nudge it by 1 or 5 minutes.

How does the Sleep timer work?
Tap the Sleep icon to start a timer, it logs "Fell asleep" right away. Tap it again when your baby wakes to log "Wake" and stop the timer.

How does Breastfeeding logging work?
Tap Breast to log a feed with your last-used side and duration. Press and hold to open the timer if you want to time the feed live, with separate Left and Right timers.

Caregivers

Can I share babylog with my partner or another caregiver?
Yes. Go to Caregivers from your profile menu and tap Invite. Anyone you invite can view and log everything for your baby.

Can I remove someone from my Care Team?
Only the account owner (the person who created the baby's profile) can remove a caregiver. Go to Caregivers, tap their name, and select Remove from care team.

Does everyone see the same information?
Yes. All caregivers on the same Care Team see the same logs, predictions, and patterns in real time.

Subscription

What's included in babylog Plus?
Plus includes personalized predictions, Patterns, Home and Lock Screen widgets, and unlimited caregivers. Free accounts can still log everything, they just won't see predictions or Patterns.

How does the free trial work?
babylog may offer a 14-day free trial of Plus in one of two ways. A trial through the App Store or Google Play is available to eligible new subscribers on the monthly or yearly plan, and eligibility is decided by the store. When it ends, your subscription automatically converts to paid and is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. After that, it renews automatically until you cancel. A trial started directly in babylog needs no payment details and there's nothing to cancel: Plus simply turns off when the 14 days end. Each account and its Care Team can use only one free trial. Logging and the rest of the core app stay free forever.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions and free trials are managed through the App Store or Google Play, not inside babylog directly. Go to your phone's App Store or Google Play subscription settings to cancel or change your plan.

I canceled but I'm still being charged. What happened?
This usually means the cancellation didn't fully process on the App Store or Google Play side. Check your subscription status directly in your phone's account settings, and contact Apple or Google support if it still shows as active after canceling.

Data & Privacy

Is my baby's information private?
Yes. Only caregivers you specifically invite can see your baby's information. We don't sell your data. See our Privacy Notice for full details.

Can I export or download my baby's logs?
Not currently. This is something we're looking into for a future update.

How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and data and can't be undone.

Is babylog a substitute for talking to my pediatrician?
No. babylog is a tracking and organizing tool. Predictions and any tips within the app are general information, not medical advice. Always check with your baby's doctor for anything health-related.
